Getting Ready to Order Wooden Roof Trusses? Here’s What You Need to Know Before Calling!
To help our engineer quickly and accurately calculate the cost of your order, please prepare the following information:
1️⃣ General Information
• Drawings: Floor plan of the top floor and roof from the architectural project, or sketches with measurements of existing structures, or photos/videos from the construction site.
• Roof Type: Single-pitch, gable, hip, or other. Where is the ridge located?
• Support Structures: Material and thickness of load-bearing walls/columns. Is a monolithic reinforced concrete ring beam planned? Are there any internal walls that can be used to support the trusses?
• Attic Space: Will there be a livable attic or a cold loft? Specify if this area needs to be insulated.
2️⃣ Load Collection
• Construction Location: Region and settlement (this is essential for accurately determining the climate zone and calculating wind and snow loads).
• Roofing Material: Metal tiles, profiled sheets, bitumen shingles, ceramic tiles, or other. If the material is non-standard, please provide the weight per m² or share a link to technical specifications.
• Insulation: Specify the type and thickness of insulation, or if it’s a non-standard material, provide a link to its technical specifications or weight per cubic meter.
• Additional Load: If you plan to hang any non-standard structures from the ceiling, their weight must be included in the calculations.
3️⃣ Special Features
• Eaves Overhangs: Are they sloped or horizontal? Specify their length (how far they extend beyond the walls).
• Roof Openings: Will there be any openings in the roof plane for chimneys, ventilation ducts, skylights, or other through elements? Please specify their dimensions, locations, and purpose.
