Sheds made of wood. Agricultural sheds for hay and agricultural machinery

Agricultural sheds based on wooden structures – a practical solution that facilitates the work of farmers

Most often wooden canopies are used in the following cases

  • traditional storage of hay in bales;
  • livestock kept under the canopies has the opportunity to be outdoors in any weather, experiencing less stress;
  • modern machinery and equipment, which is stored avoiding direct ultraviolet rays, lasts longer;
  • during harvesting it is more convenient to arrange transshipment of grain or other products.

Recommendations for the construction of agricultural canopies

Since all pets are happy to gnaw wood, and some of them sharpen their horns on it, it is better to make supports for canopies on iron or reinforced concrete poles. For supports, you can use a wooden beam, but then you need to additionally sheathe it with boards, sheet metal or wrap it with a net at such a height that the animals do not damage the tree.

It is also necessary to put iron supports to shelter agricultural machinery, so as not to knock them down in case of accidental loss of control. But for storing hay or vegetables, wooden poles can be used to reduce costs. Sheds made of wooden structures can also be based on concrete or brick pillars, walls left over from old farms.

The roof frame is best made of long-span structures – trusses. Especially if wooden structures on MTP, designed specifically for large spans, are used as trusses.

Characteristics of wooden structures on MTP

Wooden trusses on MTP are a new certified engineering development. The technology is called Mitek. It includes a set of works carried out and controlled by software and appropriate equipment.

The structural component of the technology:

  • 3D design,
  • sawing of timber with a given cross-section,
  • connection of parts with galvanized metal tooth plates, selected taking into account all loads.

As a result of this approach, wooden trusses for sheds have many advantages:

  • the ability to see the project before the start of construction;
  • large spans without additional partitions – up to 30 m, although usually for agricultural needs it is sufficient and economically justified to arrange sheds of 11-13 m;
  • create wooden trusses of any type: single-pitched, gable, inverted, cut, asymmetrical and many others;
  • cover roofs with any roofing material;
  • erect structures in a short time, as they are delivered ready-made, weigh little, are easy to assemble according to the finished drawings.

They also have the lowest price and quick payback. And most importantly – under the canopies of wood is not stuffy in summer and cozy in winter.
